The very first tool specifically designed for hunters to find non-toxic shot in their game birds. Featuring an extremely strong neodymium magnet attached to an ergonomic handle, the ShotSweeper will help find pellets in harvested game birds ranging from green-winged teal to Canada geese. It comes in five great colors: Hunter Orange, the universal color that every hunter knows; Speculum Blue, named after that wonderful patch on a mallard wing; 12 gauge Red, the classic shotshell color of waterfowlers worldwide; Diver Black, because every diving duck has black on it; and Ringneck Green, a deep color found on a stud drake ring-necked duck wing.

This item is the most obvious no brainer hunting purchase I have ever made. After 30 years of "biting lightly" a friend of mine showed me the ShotSweeper he had, and I went online and bought one the same day.
On first use, yesterday this thing lifted up a whole dove breastplate attracted to a single #7.5 shot pellet. It found two more in my other doves, of which I would have found zero pellets without it.
With two young kids at home, its absolutely foolish to ask them to bite lightly when I can solve that problem with next to no effort.

I bought this about a year ago. I have used it on doves, grouse, and ducks. It works well. Even when pellets are behind the hip or wing bone.
Hey Tommy,
Glad the ShotSweeper is working out for you. Thanks so much for taking the time to provide a review! It means a lot and really helps out. Hope you've had a great start to the hunting season by getting a few doves. Good luck with the remaining seasons.
Thanks again,
Walt
Very strong magnet though. Be careful
Works great, just like advertised. Pulled a bunch of pellets from freshly meat and some cooked. Better than a trip to the dentist!
I have tried using electronic devices to find shot in game birds, but it was much more time consuming. Even if a pellet was detected it would often take far longer to remove it out and would usually lead to damaging breast meat from all of that digging around with a knife.
The ShotSweeper’s magnet is powerful enough to pull pellets out of the meat or lift the meat right off the cutting board. In my experience, your product is very effective at isolating the exact location of the shot and with a little manipulation it pops right out.
I pride myself as being very meticulous in cleaning and preparing game birds. Recently, while hand cleaning 10 geese I found 2 pellets before using your magnet. The ShotSweeper found 4 more!
I have included a couple of photos from that recent batch of geese. As you can see, the standard magnet was strong enough to suspend a whole goose leg from a single #4 steel pellet. I was impressed to say the least!
